THE TOUR
Come and enjoy one of the most trendiest areas of Paris, the Marias district. The home of the bourgeoisie and Parisian nobility prior to the French revolution, who had lived in legendary Hotel Particulares, a French term for grand mansion, legendary in terms of apulence. After the French revolution, the district fell into disrepair, and the nobility had abandoned the area. For the next 200 years the district had fell into disrepair, largely becoming a home for Jewish immigrants, with many, during World War II, “rounded up,” assasinated and expelled, including school age children, by police working for the nazis. In recent years It has since once again has become one of the more fashionable areas of Paris, known for its art galleries, upscale restaurants and museums, along with being a trendy spot for the LGBT community. The area also holds a wonderful farmers market, the Baudoyer market, the first Parisian market to open in the afternoon, which houses plenty of flowers, fruit, veggies, milk, cheese, fish, eggs, fruit, crepes, bread, and honey.
