FREE MONTPARNASSE DISTRICT TOUR
• TOP SIGHTS IN MONTPARNASSE DISTRICT • FREE GUIDED WALKING TOUR • PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDE • DURATION 1.5 HOURS.
THE TOUR
Come and see the Montparnasse neighborhood. A neighborhood famous in the Roaring Twenties, referred to as Les Années Folles (The Crazy Years), then serving as the heart of intellectual and artistic life in Paris. Hear of stories of struggling artists who had often frequented the area which had offered better deals then the already established Montmartre, while also offering some of the most beautiful cafes, done in the Art Noveau style, including La Couple, one of the largest restaurants in all of Paris. The area also offers the Montparnasse tower, the tallest skyscraper in France until 2011, providing one of the best views in all of Paris, which can be enjoyed for a small additional fee. Not to mention a beautiful cemetery, Cimetiere du Montparnasse, showcasing the beauty of French cemeteries, and the Marche Edgar Quinet, one of the biggest farmer’s markets in all of Paris. To say the least, things are bigger in the Montparnasse area of Paris, and our tour will help acquaint you with this wonderful part of Paris. All for free although a donation of at least $15 is highly suggested.
